Welcome

From the Principal:

St Paulinus C.E. Primary School is a small school with our community at the heart of everything we do. We are proud of the strong relationships that we develop between the school, our families, St Paulinus Church and the wider community. We pride ourselves on how well we get to know our pupils and their individual interests, talents and needs.

Our school vision, which we are actively cultivating to become threaded through all aspects of school life is based on Romans 12v6

In order to help us understand this verse we use the Parable of the Talents

The Parable of the Talents: Matthew 25: 14-30

This Parable teaches us that God gives each of us unique abilities and talents and that we should practice and develop them.  God expects us to use our talents to help others and make a difference.  We should be responsible and eager to use what we're given to grow and flourish.

From this, as a school community we have chosen 4 values:

Every child is empowered to discover and use their unique gifts, as given to them by God’s grace, to shine brightly in the world. Through upholding our Christian values of kindness, creativity, respect, and perseverance, we foster a school community that nurtures and celebrates these gifts so that we can glorify God and do good in the world.

We look beyond this one verse in Romans to see that we are all part of one body and that we all need to work together with sincere love for each other.  This is further embedded through the Trust Vision to be “Driven by Love”

St Paulinus is an inclusive school that nurtures children’s educational, emotional, spiritual and social development.

Our curriculum equips children with the ability to reflect, develop a sense of empathy and self-awareness, and be open-minded, considering new and different perspectives. We prepare our children for diversity in their lives, to be mindful and encourage them to feel unique, yet part of a group.

We are blessed with large school grounds that include a beautiful forest which provides an outdoor space that is rich in learning opportunities. The children’s education is also enhanced by the presence of specialist French and sports teachers, and trips out and about to explore our local and wider community.

We view parents as partners in the educational process and appreciate your support in all aspects of school life. Whether you are a new or existing parent, please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any additional information about the school.

We hope you find this website useful in providing you with the latest news from the school and helpful for you to understand the experiences we offer for the children. You can also read about our interesting history, our close links with the parish church, the admissions criteria and our most recent Ofsted report.
