Hello and welcome to Year 5.
We are a happy cohort of 30 children and two teachers, Mrs Carrick (Monday to Wednesday) and Mrs Ketchell (Thursdays & Fridays).
The children enjoy learning and challenging themselves, always striving to achieve their best. There is also an enthusiasm for the broader creative curriculum and the artistic talents adorn the classroom walls and the KS2 corridor.
In this era of online home learning things have been very different but we are very proud of how amazingly our pupils have accepted the change and managed to continue their learning with resilience and gusto. Well done one and all!
Termly topics, events and displays of work will be posted on this website page so keep a look out for updates.
Stay safe and we cannot wait for the day when we can all be back together again.
Mrs Carrick and Mrs Ketchell.
We may be learning at home for the moment but that hasn't stopped some of you extending your learning to include other skills! I have loved hearing from you and seeing your pictures. During lockdown we've been so busy learning new things and spending time with our families, much of which has been in the kitchen creating lovely treats. Y5 have written up their favourite recipes, thank you to everyone who contributed!
Y5 celebrated the end of half term with Virtual Kindness Awards - thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate someone for an act of kindness - it was very kind of you!
