Welcome to Reception!

We are delighted to welcome you and your child to Reception, where their exciting journey of learning and discovery truly begins.

Throughout the year, your child will be introduced to a wide range of opportunities to develop their academic, practical, creative, and sporting skills. They will also build friendships, enjoy working and playing with others, and discover new talents along the way.

To help you understand what lies ahead, please see the attached PowerPoint from our initial parent meeting. This provides an overview of the new EYFS curriculum and the different ways in which your child will learn.

At the start of each half-term, you will also find an updated curriculum map uploaded below, outlining the focus for that period.

We are very much looking forward to supporting your child in their first year of school, nurturing their curiosity, and helping them grow into confident, independent learners ready for the years ahead.
